||||Brinell hardness test
The Standard Penetrascope® can be used as a brinell Hardness Tester by replacing the pyramidal diamond indenter by ball type inenters (1mm and 2mm only). These indenters are interchangeable.
The penetrascope® is guaranteed accurate within the limits of British Standards BS: 240, BS: 860 and ISO Reccommendations R79 - R191 - R403 - R410.
Brinell Hardness Tests can be performed with the 1mm ball at 5.10 and 30kgf and with the 2mm ball at 20 and 40kgf.
Ball indenters (1mm and 2mm) and ISO Recommenations may be obtained as optional extras.
